Kiuli was born from a lifetime spent in the African bush. Not from a boardroom, not from a travel agency training programme — from the land itself.

Founder
Graham Wallington
Born and raised in Africa, Graham has spent his career building bridges between people and the continent's extraordinary wildlife. His journey began with AfriCam, the world's first live wildlife cameras, which brought the African bush into homes around the globe.
He went on to found WildEarth, pioneering live-streamed safaris that let millions experience game drives in real time — long before live streaming became mainstream. These ventures weren't just technology plays. They were built on a deep conviction that connecting people to wild places changes how they think about conservation.
That same conviction drives Kiuli. Every safari we design reflects decades of firsthand knowledge: which guides read landscapes with an almost supernatural instinct, which lodges deliver genuine care rather than performative luxury, and which routes reveal Africa at its most honest.
Graham also founded Xeroth AI, which is developing radar and artificial intelligence systems to detect wire snares — one of the most devastating and indiscriminate forms of poaching threatening Africa's wildlife. The goal is straightforward: make snaring economically unviable by finding snares faster than poachers can set them.

A luxury safari is a significant investment, and you deserve to know exactly who holds your money and why. When you book with Kiuli, your contract for the trip itself — and every payment you make — is directly with iTrvl (ITRVL LLC) and the Wilderness Group (Wilderness Holdings Ltd), not with Kiuli. You'll see this stated plainly in the booking terms you review before you pay. We design your journey; iTrvl and Wilderness hold and safeguard your money.
The Wilderness Legacy
Wilderness Safaris has operated continuously in Africa since 1983 — one of the continent's longest-running conservation and luxury hospitality groups. iTrvl is the Wilderness Group's own booking and payment technology, not a third-party middleman bolted on afterward. It's the same platform Wilderness uses for its own bookings, and that other accredited travel designers use across the region.
Why Your Funds are Safe
We utilize a sophisticated integrated escrow process that removes the “middleman” risk often found in traditional travel agencies.
Verified Holding
When you pay, iTrvl — the same company named in your contract — holds your funds in escrow and disburses them to your lodges, guides, and other suppliers under the terms you've agreed to, including issuing any refunds due under those terms.
Asset Protection
iTrvl is the Wilderness Group's own technology — built and operated by the same organisation that has run camps and safaris across Africa since 1983. Your payment isn't routed through a separate, unrelated payment company; it stays inside the same group of companies you're contracting with.
Encryption & Compliance
Payments are processed by Stripe, the payment infrastructure trusted by many of the world's largest companies, under Stripe's own PCI-DSS security and compliance standards.
Cancellation Terms, Clearly Stated
We publish our cancellation terms before you book, not in fine print you find afterward. If your plans change, here's exactly where you stand:
More than 90 days before departure
Only your deposit is at risk.
61-90 days before departure
50% of the trip cost.
31-60 days before departure
75% of the trip cost.
30 days or less before departure
100% of the trip cost.
If a pandemic prevents you from travelling, separate protection terms can apply — including a full refund or a postponement credit, depending on timing and circumstances.
